Design of external sewage networks

Sewerage and sewerage networks are of two types depending on the terrain:

  • pressure head
  • solitary

Designing an external sewer network addresses the following issues:

  • source of sewage collection, boundaries of the zone of sanitary protection;
  • method of purification and composition of water treatment facilities;
  • the scheme of drainage;
  • parameters of the sewage network and the designed structures with the coordination of their location.

The design of a sewer project must be carried out on the basis of a design task prepared by the customer with the participation of the design organization.

The working project (WP) of external sewerage and sewerage networks (or feasibility studies) consists of:

  • an explanatory note;
  • the master plan;
  • working drawings of nodes, wells, connections with other networks, etc.
  • electrical parts (if required);
  • organization of construction;
  • estimates (drawn up by working drawings)
  • environmental impact assessments;
  • environmental impact assessments (if covered by ATS law)

The task of developing a sewerage project is prepared by the customer with the direct involvement of the project organization.

 The design of the external sewerage networks is carried out in accordance with the State Building Regulations, which establish the composition and content of the project, the procedure of development, approval and approval of design estimates, which will be carried out new construction or reconstruction of existing structures and buildings.

The design task is drawn up in accordance with the Master Plan on the basis of feasibility studies of the feasibility of the planned construction, industrial enterprises, as well as taking into account the draft detailed plan of the territory of urban development and rural settlements.

Design documentation for the construction of sewage networks can be developed in two stages - design documentation (P) and working documentation (P), or in one stage - working project (RP). Usually simple projects are designed in one stage.

Design documentation for the sewerage of any facility, including sewage treatment and disinfection, must be carried out in accordance with the DBN, specifications and sanitary requirements.

When designing, the timing of construction and assembly works of the projected sewerage and the breakdown of construction into queues, the basic technical and economic indicators of the object, the choice of the installed equipment, the cost of construction must be calculated. Graphic materials should include a master plan of the planned object, vertical diagrams of sewer profiles, indicating the location of all cross networks in the area of work.
